We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you.
When trying to access the Gradebook tool, the following message appears:
There has been a problem with the page you are accessing. The problem has been recorded and we are looking into it. In the meantime, you may return to what you were doing by hitting the back button.
|
| CAUSE: |
This error occurs when there are two identically named items in the Gradebook. An example of this would be if there were two items labled "Quiz" in the Gradebook setup. Items with the same name are given the same item ID and this causes an error within the gradebook. |
| FIX: |
This error can only be fixed by Pearson LearningStudio. If you encounter this issue, please contact the Pearson LearningStudio helpdesk directly at 800-826-1665 or via email at helpdesk@tcuglobal.edu. |
| NOTES: |
It is best to avoid checking the boxes for any two identically named items in the Add New Items page of the Setup Gradebook to prevent this item from occurring. For more tips on the Gradebook, click here. |

Cannot distribute weight in the Gradebook, while using Globalization settings.
Notification Date: Jan. 06, 2010 |
| ISSUE: |
Cannot distribute weight without getting the following error: Use numeric values only in the points and weights fields.

|
| CAUSE: |
This occurs after selecting Distribute weight, in the gradebook setup, while your course is using globalization (French or Spanish). Commas are inserted into the weighting fields instead of decimals. |
| FIX: |
This is Known Bug in Pearson LearningStudio for courses using Globalization.
Until this bug is resolved, there are a few fixes:
Option 1:
Manually enter the weight for each gradable item, instead of selecting “distribute weight.”
Option 2:
- Go to Course Admin
- Select General Information and Settings
- Change Course Locale to English (US) from whichever language you had selected originally.
- Save Changes.
- Go back to the gradebook set up, select Assign Points and Weights, then Distribute Weight.
